LeBron James reacts to critics who say Lakers are too Old

Lebron James reacts to critics who say Lakers are too old for the NBA after the Los Angeles Lakers sacrificed young talents to bring in veteran players.

Some of the deals the 2020 NBA Champions brought in include Carmelo Anthony, 37, Trevor Ariza, 36, and Dwight Howard, 35, apparently, the team has an average of 31.4 years and that makes them the oldest in the NBA based on players age.

As the NBA regular season kick-off draws near, a handful of critics have suggested that the Lakers are rather too old even when they have some of the best players in the league at the moment. It appears that they have got their eyes on the trophy and will stop at nothing to get it. However, some critics think it is not a wise decision.

Meanwhile, LeBron James has openly reacted to the critics who ay Lakers are too Old on social media.

“Keep talking about my squad,” the 36-year-old LeBron James wrote on Twitter.

“Our personnel ages, the way he plays, he stays injured, we’re past our time in this league, etc etc etc. Do me one favor PLEASE!!!! And I mean PLEASE!!! Keep that same narrative ENERGY when it begins! That’s all I ask. #ThankYou”

In 2019 Lakers parted with a couple of young talents including Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram in order to bring in forwarder Anthony Davis.

However, Davis, 28, has barely managed to stay fit while battling with injury in the last NBA season.

Last month the team was in the market to let go some young players again this time it was rising star Kyle Kuzma to the Washington Wizards in exchange for 32-year-old point guard Russell Westbrook – as I suggested, the team has got their eyes on the NBA trophy this season. Let us keep our fingers crossed as we expect the NBA season to kick off on Oct 19.

Critics suggest that due to the age of the players, the younger talents may have the advantage over them when it comes to pace as the old players tend to be slower, making them less likely to recover quickly after an offensive attack.

However, James hopes that won’t be the case as he is ready for the competition and will do everything to make sure that he wins the trophy with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is recovering from an ankle injury.
